Nautilus Composite strap of 5712r 5980r

Hi,

Does anyone know if the matte brown composite strap that comes with 5980r / 5712r is washable with water?

What is the material is it rubber or leather? I asked Patek dealer and they said it's a mix of leather / rubber so not recommended to be washed with water. But when I asked another dealer, they said it is rubber and can be washed.

yes its rubber exterior/on the top and leather under. i believe it will be ruined if you put it into water. You could always buy a rubber b strap with the different colours if you want something different.

I've used this strap many times in pools and hottubs without any issues. It still looked like new after 5 years use.

Can be used in water. I’ve used mine in water for a long time, shower daily with it. No issues.
