Seen a few live pics of the blue enamel but id still choose the black. I do feel a bit shafted as i dont understand why the case is in platinum? The same goes for the 5303, those 12 piece limited edition for the Singapore event buyers will not be happy either

Blue 5370P looks great, I was expecting an R but I guess the blue dial is on trend.

Singapore 5303R is still ugly even if this one is slightly better looking... Jokes aside it seems to me like it was obvious PP would do a 5304R analogue and that there would be plenty more versions of the 5303. Ya don’t develop a new caliber to use in only 12 watches. This new one even has the -001 ref which means it was probably planned for before the Singapore -010.

As for the 5370P blue is a more traditional color for P cases than black, no? Some had issues with 5172 being initial release in G with a blue dial as well. Seems like this is Patek going back to previously established patterns (or not considering the 5270J). The anomaly would rather be releasing the black 5370 in P to begin with (Probably to differentiate it to 5170G-010) Damned if you do, damned if you don’t?

I think historically black is more traditional - blue is the young upstart.

Traditional as in blue/platinum combo being a typical last or penultimate release to a ref for PP chronos in the last couple of decades? I’m thinking 5070 and 5170. Though 5970 was capped off with a black P so maybe there’s less regularity than I want there to be.

I don't know... The 5270J makes 5970J (and 3970J) only look better, and I am afraid the same is true for the blue 5370P compared to the black one.

The 5370P in blue enamel is absolutely amazing. I love all things blue so this really works for me.

How was it, "Confirmed the 5370P is on the discontinued list."?

-001 was. No big 5370P price hike for hopeful collectors and/or greys, though. The rumours about 5370 production being limited to [insert unrealistically small number] seem to have been exaggerated.

The 5370P-001 was on the discontinued list.

The time taken to make the piece in the high grand complications department is a significant limitation to production numbers.

I’ve heard more or less trustworthy people claim everything from 3-50x 5370P produced every year since 2015. 50 may very well be close to the truth which we’ll never find out anyway, but claims of <10 seems like a hype/marketing gimmick unless a very high percentage of 5370P/ produced are currently for sale online at any given time. At a significant discount to msrp at that. back at ya.

All nice but 5370P in black would still be my preference by a wide margin. Safe releases no real errors.

I remember we discussed about what will be released after the 5370p. I thought it will be the only edition on the 5370 series since Patek typically releases platinum as the final run of a model, while you think it could be released in other precious metals.

Your guess is closer though it is now in blue P.

Why is the 5370P chronograph minute counter at 1 min?
Weird.

Beautiful new enamel dial for the 5370, even if I still prefer the black version.

5270j was due, so no real shock there. Nice to see a skeleton execution on a grand comp as well.
