216570 Explorer II polish/refinish question
I was quoted $650-700 to polish a daily worn Exp. 2 by a well know facility in Los Angeles; sure is a lot more than Walter Gooden charged me (30 years ago). Does that sound like it’s on the ballpark?

For not much more than that Rolex will do a complete COA service on the watch and toss in a complete, professional, refinish for free.

Still under warranty. It’s at the stage where it still new enough to have “scratches” rather than “patina”...if that makes any sense. But, I should probably just suck it up and wait a few years.

If you find somebody to refinish the case, it will void the warranty.

Rolex's official price for just polishing is €340 here in Europe, for a professional model.
This will also include new gaskets of course. |
