Small cameras very close will distort this relationship.

Here's my best shot at it:

Still, the EX II 42 is a tad larger in every way. In one day you will adjust. Legibility and lume are crazy-good.

Jim that is a perfect shot! To this day I am still puzzled why some folks think the 216570 is absurdly large. IMO I believe it's perfect in every way, well proportioned (as your picture attest to), and super comfortable on the wrist.

The AD over in Buford has these two in the case NIB for easy comparison.

I have got to admit...now that I am wearing a Moon watch again. My original Explorer II seems a tad small...I have to wait for the prices to come down (grey/used) on the 42 Explorer before I consider a white dial.
