Panerai Service Center
I've read a good amount about bad experiences through the Texas service center so figured I'd share a story with a happy ending.
About a month ago my 111 I-series stopped running. Having purchased used and being unaware of the service history I decided to go for a full overhaul. I'm thrilled with the results. The watch was in for 33 days total well within their estimate and was polished to like new specs.the cool service boxes are back too! Last edited by SAAS; 19 September 2014 at 08:50 AM.. Glad to hear all went smoothly!! Have heard lots of good stories since it moved to Dallas, the old days of NY...not so much.

Nice! My 237 is there currently, should be back early OCT. Getting a full service and polish. Mine was around $680 though, wonder why yours was considerably less?

Most likely it's because the 111 uses a manual wind movement that was based off an old pocket watch movement from Unitas or ETA. It's the entry level movement. |

Good to hear about the service centre
It's not an entry-level movement. The base ETA movement (Unitas = ETA) is reworked by Panerai to their own spec. Among other things, the power reserve is increased and each movement is tested to COSC spec - the watch comes with a timing certificate. In some ways, the 111 is the perfect PAM

Congratulations on your "new" PAM My encounter with PASC wasn't perfect but all things considered I was satisfied with the results and also posted about it. It's important that the good be shared in the community along with the bad!
Totaly Agree with all your other comments however the PS is standard for any 6497/6498 (56hrs).
