I am sure a few of us who live in/close to London will be pleased to meet up for a drink/meal.

Guys, I have some shots on my phone from the GTG, although I seem to have lost my handset. Of course my 5 year old son knows nothing about it. I expect to have it found soon.
Back to the weekend, I had a great time catching up with the Guys and what a pleasure to have Raf and Lili join us. We really appreciated the Effort you guys made and not to mention how tiring Saturday must have been. A big shout to Dan too for making it happen, I think we should rename him Mr London or Essex's answer to Thomas Magnum!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday was our usual droolfest in Harrods, Selfridges and Bond Street although the previous day's consumption did take its toll on some of us.

I learned another important lesson at the GTG.

Did you guys know that some tomatoes grow up thinking they are a vegetable and other tomatoes grow and think they are a fruit. No problem you would think, but... What if the chef mix those two up in the kitchen of a restaurant. You won't believe it, but that's exactly what happened at the GTGs' dinner last saterday!
Cal spotted a tomato on his plate (actually it was half a tomato) which grew up thinking it was a vegetable, but infact it was a fruit ! An immense disaster was prevented by Cal, not eating that silly fruit with the lovely steak !
At the end of the dinner, Dan grasped the fruity tomato off Cals' plate and he just eat it, because such a tomato can easily be eaten as a dessert.

So be careful not to switch the two different kind of tomatoes !!!
Thank you Cal for this important and intriguing lesson

Geert, I am glad you took the info on board about pesky tomatoes, but also remember what I said about the French and the Scottish, it was great meeting you and lets get the Bruxelles GTG off the ground my friend.......

Right Guys!!!

Apologies for being so late to the party, a lost mobile with some pics and week from hell at work had prevented me posting these earlier.

what can I say but what great weekend with a greatest eclectic bunch of watch fancying blokes in the world!!!! Although Geert's box of Belgian Malteezers didnt hang around for long!!!! i blame the usual suspects for that
We missed a few of the guys who didnt make it but the great thing about these GTG's is the fact that without fail there will be another one happening for sure.

For me the highlights were....

Meeting Raf and his very understanding wife Liili. You guys did a great job getting over and putting up with us guys after several beers must have been a challenge.

Trying on Wes's Tudor Pelagos (I still think he used his IT skills to fix the draw ). The watch translates great in reality and a serious looker and what value for money (for those who have to buy one that is) Sorry wes, couldnt resist

A curve ball next, Gabriel's Pepsi on a recently acquired Jubilee bracelet. What can I say, I never thought I would like that combo but that one looked great and I think it gives you a nice variation to the other Oyster bracelet models in the rotation. Good work Sir

The Shirts, not a lot more I can say except scroll down for evidence

And finally the Great Mayfair Tomato Rant of 2013 courtesy of our most well informed Cal!!!! What can I say but dont ever asking him why a tomato would attempt to hoodwink the world by pretending that it is a vegetable, when clearly it is a *%#@ing fruit!!!

Pic time, a few lifted from my mobile phone so quality isnt great.

I you read the thread from earlier you may know that I managed to get one of the last rooms at the Tower and paid an arm and a leg for it. And this is what you get for leaving it so late. A totally pants view!!!!

Group shot, gents. Is it just me or is the older you get, the more bald friends you seem to have???

A Great shot of Dan and Raf

I am pretty sure Raf checked out the room and decided that it was Dan that needed a fashion upgrade For some reason a massive hit from "Right Said Fred" springs to mind for more than one reason

Now we all know its not a proper Dickens GTG without Dan being the Pizza monitor, a job that he seemed far too good at!!! definately way too much practice in the past

Thanks for reading and bring on Salon QP 2013 and perhaps Basel 2014
