Tag heuer Calibre 36 vs Zenith EL Primero

Is anyone can tell the detail between these two movements?
As I know they are related, but I do not know the different between them.
Please advise.

As far as I know, movement used by Tag Heuer labeled as Calibre 36 IS actually Zenith`s legendary El Primero. I don`t know if there are any differences, but I don`t think that Tag did anything like Rolex in terms of modifying El Primero movement (remember, Rolex watchmakers did slow it down and removed date window).
I think that Tag simply bought El Primero for particular models, just like they did before with ETA 7750 and Seiko 6s37.

Thanks a lot.
So this Calibre 36 will be the cheapest El Primero movement right?

I don't know Tags very well, but are these still available? I thought Zenith stopped providing their movements to others.

no Zenith I think still does provide that particular movement to others as I have seen new renditions pop up from other makers.

TAG Heuer and Zenith are somewhat integrated these days- at least at the head office level (the design and marketing teams are still independent). Ultimately, both report to the TAG Heuer CEO.

So, you'd think that TAG Heuer will continue to have pretty good access to the El Primero

David,

Surely you mean both report to LVMH, along with Hublot. AS far as I know, TAGHeuer and Zenith are entirely independent operations under the LVMH umbrella, and I have never heard of a reporting relationship between them.
