Thanks for posting.

I didn’t realize that production of GMT master and master 2 ran concurrently for a time.

This is their way of continuing to try to artificially keep the hype and prices up. Good luck with that.

Great video showcasing the history of the model through the years, but it does make me wonder if this is just a way of trying to drive the hype still.
I just read the monochrome take on the market and they went as far as saying a Pepsi GMT could.be an investment right now on par with Gold, which to my mind is utter delusional madness.

Nice video. Interestingly enough, I think the GMT prices have been dropping more than other Rolex editions. Seems to be a bunch more for sale and many now in the High 8 to low 9 thousands. Not long ago the prices for these were jumping almost every week.

Rootbeer really is a watch you have to see in person imho. Never seen a pic or vid do it justice.

or... just maybe... just maybe... they've done a handful of "Reference Points" segments and it was the GMT-Master's turn...

Saw that video yesterday. What an excellent explanation of the entire GMT collection while showing them in the flesh instead of just boring stock photos!!!!

For a newbie like myself, I learned a lot from the video. Where else can you see such a collection? The guest clearly knows his GMTs. Having said that, Hodinkee is “d..n if you do, d..n if you don’t” situation. They will be accused of hype mongering where the intent is most likely to educate.
As for me, I look at this video as positive. Granted I’m not in the market for a GMT.
Peace!
