I would suggest a few key pieces are holding their own. Can’t see price rises.

Only for certain limited edition model maybe, like the bronzo

but i am not seeing that for other models.

I am not selling so up or down means very little to me.

As a whole, no, unfortunately not. For the most part, it's still a game of buying right and hoping to keep what you have.

As an owner of several "older" series Panerai watches, my impression is that prices continue to fall on the secondary market.
I have a RG Panerai 273 that I've been offered almost $10K less than I paid, and I did not buy poorly (I thought) at the time.

Fortunately, the remaining 88, 170, 335, 49 (wife's) are currently "keepers" and I was offered decent $ in trade on a 243 [bought well] for a much more expensive AP.

My 213 had an MSRP apparently of $14k. I paid half that last year pre-owned. If it holds flat from what I paid I will be happy. It isn't a Rolex so I don't expect any appreciation (like my GMT experienced compared to the price I paid).

Looks like I could get $1,000-$1,200 more for my 111. Mind you I bought that in 2003.

111 (and 000) is a solid purchase among Panerai's offerings.
However, I think it speaks to the appetite for the brand that this thread has had so litttle response since posted.

My impression is that the secondary market has fallen by about 10-20% in recent years.
Also much of the former hype surrounding limited editions and things seems to have ebbed too.

I just sold 4 Panerai’s taking a 11K eur hit, no more PAM’s for me.
I initially bought them at retail minus 30%, thought I would be safe

Seems like the Panerai craze ended around 2014 or so. I still like the brand, but the values are substantially less over the last four years. The 372 use to be red hot as well as the 233, now both can be had for WAY less money. I still have my 512 and will be keeping it but I don’t surmise to flip it for any gain in the future.

I think some of the older base models and models without a "1" before them have gone slightly up. Some people dislike the "compromises" made on the new logo models or dislike the addition of blue and automatic on the dials on the 1950 models. On the whole though, among the models that haven't really changed, I haven't noticed a big change. Models like the 372 can be had at almost half off used.

Short answer: No.

Panerai has taken a big hit over the last couple of years in terms of overall demand for the watch relative to 7-10 years ago, but there are still certain models that hold value very well and keep their value.
Want proof of the decreased demand? Look at their price drops across the board that occurred around 2015/2016 on all of their models.

Get a PAM because you love it and plan on keeping it........not b/c you think it may hold value with the expectation of flipping it down the road.

I can’t believe that I sold my PAM312 in 2012, for more than I can buy one right now. That’s insane!

Prices are lower than ever in Sweden as well. You can get a 372 in brilliant condition for under 5000 euros now.

I bought my 512 new from AD for $6800, just sold for $4000. Bought a 372 for $4800, so I guess resale is 50% now? See a bunch of older refs sitting in displays as well, especially since they keep releasing newer and better models. Rough spot to be in for Panerai.

Yeah.. I think price are low now however the 372 is one heck of a nice looking watch! It truly is punching way above its price range. Great time to buy!
