Horible Ladies Day date??

I am cruising the classifieds here in Alberta, looking to buy my first Rolex.

With the downturn of the economy, the plus side is that some deals can be found, at least in theory. I work in the oil industry and we are all having a tough time. But I am fortunate enough to still be working.

I have become adept at spotting most fake watches I see listed, although some are painfully obvious.

I contact most sellers to see if they realize they are selling fake watches, most claim ignorance with the usual "it was my grandfathers watch" or something to that extent.

This lady called me after a few texts were exchanged and was furious, telling me I have no idea what I am talking about. Saying this watch was a gift many years ago and was stored in her safe deposit box for a decade or so, and that her jeweler who is Asian (not sure why she stressed this to me more then once), just changed the battery and said it was a legit Rolex.

I try my best to be polite and I am never rude, as it cannot be fun learning something you treasured is not real. But as a beginner watch enthusiast, I feel it is my duty to prevent the resale of fake watches.

Anyways here is the watch, feel free to hit the report button.

*edit: she has updated it to "possibly a replica" and reduced her price from $2500 to $1000

Worthless garbage.

What downturn in the economy? That was like 2008.

What's going on in Canada?

The Saudis are flooding the world with cheap oil (to hurt Iran and Russia) and the Alberta oil economy is collateral damage.

I reported it to kijiji and also sent her a polite email. She replied with a cryptic message. The ad is still up so it looks like she wants to take someone for $1000.

Ad updated to say please don't contact her about it being a fake. Ad updated to say watch not available. So, she eventually got the message.
