Who do you trust??? I've read 100 buying guides, but how do you really know online??? Curious what others think.

If you are asking about buying a watch and you are asking about buying one here specifically than I can offer some advice.

Check the trusted sellers in the for sale section. I personally have sold 5 Rolex to members on here and have bought 5 Rolex on here from DavidSW.

When you say "buy online" it can mean many different things; forums like this, auction sites, local classified sites and retailer sites.

The most important thing to know is: Buy The Seller, Not The Watch.

That means reputation is everything. If you stick with sellers who have good reputations, you won't go wrong. While I can recommend one or two retailer sites, I would stay away from auction sites and local classifieds. As far as forums like this go, research potential sellers in the "Who's Who" section. When you find sellers with a good amount of positive feedback from other members, those are the sellers you want to stick with.

If you are a novice to Rolex, stick only with a trusted seller, decide what your comfortable with (all original, refurbished, etc.) before looking and ask said seller about this, come up with a budget, and do not be taken by awesome deals.

Also remember, any picture that looks stock, probably is, and even a picture that isn't can be stolen from another seller. In the end, the seller matters most.

Be careful buying from aftermarket online retailers. Some do not include the Rolex warranty card, replacing the factory warranty with their own. And some, if you read the fine print, will even substitute an aftermarket bracelet for the Rolex one.

Pick one of the trusted sellers here and you won't go wrong. I've bought from several - no problems at all and the prices were basically unbeatable.
