Not bought one, but seen and tried on. Very nice. Like it especiallly on leather as opposed to bracelet (odd for me)

I like it, but not enough to buy one. The snowflake hands really don't work on a chrono, the hour hand covers the subdials too much.

I didn't like the snowflake hands on the standard Black Bay either and I still bought one, so who knows what the future holds

Overall it looks pretty nice, however I can't stand their hour hand and for that reason I wouldn't make the purchase...it would bug me too much. Similar reason why the Rolex Milgauss is a nonstarter for me.

I have the BB steel and chose this over the Chrono .My local AD had one in stock ,but was keeping it in the backroom because one of the staff was going to buy it . He let me try it on ,& to me the Snowflake hour hand just doesn't work on the Chrono. Also you wouldn't be able to see the subdials if you were to use the Chrono feature between 2-4 PM or AM or 8-10 PM or AM . Really don't know why they didn't use stick hands ( I know its part of the BB family) because if Tudor did in my opinion, there would be a waiting list for it & I definitely would have bought one .

Agreed.

For all its quirks and foibles, I still prefer the Heritage Chrono.

It's a gorgeous looking watch but like others here I don't like the snowflake hands on a chrono - design should always be subservient to functionality and that's not the case here because the snowflake hands do get in the way of the subdials.

Also, I can't get used to the idea of a chronograph married to a diving watch. They are two different genres to me and should be kept separate.

I prefer the Heritage Chrono. I hope that soon Tudor will bring out a Heritage Big Block Chrono. I would go for that straight away if they did.

My local AD has had one in the window every time I pass by. I did pop in and try it on and liked it just not enough to buy it.

One look at the twelve year old reviewing the watch and I couldn't watch any more. I've looked at pictures of the watch online though and I agree that the snowflake hour hand (which I've never liked on any Tudor) is a big mistake on this chrono. Be a tidy watch otherwise.

I still have to see it IRL, but I see it as a design failure. I get the feeling that the Blackbay tie-in has been forced just for marketing reasons.

The Blackbay was born as a diver's watch, something that clearly the BBChrono is not.

What's the purpose of a tachy bezel on a diver's watch ? A diver's bezel would make more sense. And what's the use of the chrono function on a diver's watch if you cannot operate it underwater ? I have to admit that the Seamaster Chrono-Divers are much better designed as proper diver's watches in this respect.

The only Blackbay elements they forced in (the dial and the hands) are actually what most people object as not working on this design...

It's a mish-mash of elements. IMO it would have been much better to create a Heritage tribute to these ones instead:

Its a fine watch, but under AD lighting left me a bit underwhelmed....but maybe I just need to give it a second go..... oh and considering the snowflake hand only covers anything pertinent for a tiny fraction of the day, and I'm in no way actually using the Chrono function, the presence of that hand was a-ok.

I own the Tudor Black Bay Chronograph and it is a good wearing watch. I like all of the Black Bay watches and this is no exception. I have read the reviews of the watch and the hand issue comes up very frequently. Not a big deal for me and it does not cause issues in my opinion in a manner that has been reflected in multiple reviews. If I have an issue it is more with the dial being hard to read at certain angles as the second hand is polished metal and gets lost sometimes on the dial. I would have preferred if the sub dials were of a different color or the hands were more bold. I own a 44.25 Speedmaster and the new Tag Heuer Autavia and both of those watches are more visible to check the time and other functions. Will I keep the Black Bay Chrono, probably not. Do I regret buying it, not at all. It is a fun watch and with more than 10 watches in a collection it rotates through until I decide I want something else. The pictures are of the three Chrono's I currently own.
