Submariner hands

I need your helps gents. I have submariner hands that I can't pinpoint. They still glow briefly if shown bright light. Maybe 1680? Maybe gilt? Any feedback will be much appreciated.

If they still glow, most likely mid '60's era. If you look at the pinion of the sweep, it will indicate the most likely reference. If it's short - 5512/13. Date models will be slightly longer. And finally GMT hands would be longest.

Good crisp macro photos. Were these taken with a phone + lens accessory or some sort of a microscope ?

Yes. That looks a bit long for a no date. So high probability it's for a date model like a 1665 or 1680.

Ah, the joys of trying to sort out hands. It can drive you absolutely crazy. To say for certain what yours are, we'd need to see the backside of the hour hand also (Tudor hands looks like Rolex sub hands from the top-side, totally different from backside). GMT hour hands look like sub hands from topside, completely different on backside...but eerily similar to Tudor hour hands. Hours of mind-numbing fun, I tell ya.

To answer your question directly. From left to right: shortest--no date (i.e. 5513), medium--date (i.e. 1680), longest--1675.

I don't know what's going on with your hands (oxidation?). Is the Mercedes flat or curved? To my knowledge, they didn't make curved curved gilt hands.

You need to provide shots of the pinion posts (as shown above). Also, Is the Mercedes hand flat or curved? The circle part of the hour hand--does it have a curve to it?

Looks like a 1680 1665 set. I'm not sure what all that oxidation/growth is all over them.
