My Tudor 94614 Oyster Prince Day-Date, 13 year gap between making & selling? Common?
I had this originally in the vintage section which probably was a mistake. So:
Experts, is this type of thing common in the Rolex/Tudor world? I have a minty white dial/white gold bezel Tudor Oyster Day-Date. The serial number on the watch case is 89XXX making it late 1970s, correct? The clasp code is K6, making it 1986, correct? Now, the paperwork: The Tudor Garantie country code is (punched) 10 which is Switzerland. Paperwork dated 1991, serial number (punched) is 89XXX matching the watch case, sold by Bucherer on August 9th, 1991. So, the watch from 1978, the bracelet from 1986, put together by Bucherer in 1991 and sold. Is this common? To have a 13 year gap between the manufacture of the watch and the selling of the watch? Many thanks to anyone who can advise. Just curious. I want to learn if this was a common practice back in the day, or even now.. |

I don't know too much about vintage watches but none of what you've described makes any sense to me.
Do think the watch could be franken? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Could it be a replacement bracelet?

So it's legit. Just amazing to me the gap between making and selling. Watch is dead mint as well... I was just curious if other Rolex/Tudor watches have this long gap. I guess most Rolex/Tudor buyers would never see the serial number or know about the clasp code. That is for geeks like us, so this probably happens more often than not.. |

I know, I feel like an idiot for not being able to figure out how to do it.
However, click on this link to my Forum. Pics are there. Best I can do! http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/thread...e-pics.685189/ |
