Contemplating if $5000 is a good price for a lightly used Milgauss white dial that is

So my AD says I can get this Milgauss for $5000+ tax =$5400 and change. Just wondering if this deal makes much sense. This will be my first Rolex. I wanted the OP39 which is the same price soooooo just don't know if I should pull the trigger or wait. Haven't found anything worthwhile since I've been searching for 2 months now.

the millie at $5k is imop, the better watch, price and long term hold rolex.

OP's are very nice, i actually owned one briefly, but its weak on resale, if that matters to you.

you're also in nice Tudor territory with that budget too.

Don't buy a watch based on price.

Buy one you love.

If it helps any, I bought one as my first (and currently only) Rolex a couple months ago. I had been following prices reasonably closely for the past 5 years. Mine was from a trusted seller here, and my price was within $100 of what you're looking at with tax. I was happy with the deal. I agree you have to love it though. The Milgauss seems to elicit a love or hate from people with not much middle ground, especially the non GV references.

I agree with others: $5k is a lot of money for a watch so you need to love it. That said, assuming you love both of these equally, I would go with Milgauss because it is a more unique piece.

Problem with used sub is, it's been hard to find but I kinda love the uniqueness of Milgauss bc you'll have to tell a story every time someone should ask what it was. Lol

I am a big fan of the white Milgauss. Last year is when I was in the market to buy. I ended up with a GMT but was looking very hard at a white Milgauss new with stickers, each was $5k. Would still like to pick up a white Milgauss, I just think you could do better on the price. My .02

Maybe I should have been more specific, sorry, a GMT complication is, master 2 $6-$7k or explorer for less..... Whatever he loves! If you've got $5k save another $1500 or so for LOVE!

Love the white milgauss; it's the only modern Millie I truly like.

Yeah I thought so too but given that I'm south of the us border and don't really like online shopping there are very little options available
