Day Date President Cal?

I have a Ref 18248, Day-Date President, 18K with Bark Bracelet, year 1991, I think.

Does anyone know the Cal used in these watches?

Thanks

No, I am afraid that the previous answer is wrong.

A 182xx series Day-Date should have a double quick-set 3155 calibre.

The 3135 was the quick-set Datejust variant.

The confusion is particularly dangerous, as baddies will often fit a doctored, cheaper and more common 3135 calibre movement into a fake or renumbered Day-Date case, which will fool the unwary who open it up and find a genuine Rolex movement inside.

Haywood.

Unfortunate in light of what goes on with these two movements!

Don't worry, a similar slip saw my website describe one of the shops not as "under the famous clock" but....well...something altogether less wholesome.
