Unworn 16600 - Should I wear it or save it

I found and purchased a safe queen, F Serial number 16600, purchased in 2004, I should receive it this Friday. At first I was thinking about wearing it, now I am thinking I should keep it as it has been kept since 2004. What would you do? Do you think the value will escalate in its as new condition, or will it track the same if worn carefully?

I buy watches to wear.

Cannot imagine owning one without using it for the reason it was built

if you don't mind "losing" 2k in value as soon as you peel the stickers, go right ahead. the only reason to buy NOS with stickers is to sell in the future. otherwise, buy a minty preowned one and enjoy it.

edit: thought it was NOS. go ahead and just wear it. I have an F serial on now.

Thank you, I agree, I think it is better to wear it, I was just thrown off after I spoke with the seller and how it had been kept in a safe and not worn since 2004.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't pay a premium if you're considering wearing it. As above, buy a nice example that's not unworn and wear it.

Buy wall art instead, if you just want to look at it.

I have bought several NOS examples to wear.......there are many reasons why this is the right choice for some of us. Get the stickers off as soon as it arrives, strap it on and of you go. Might be worth taking it to an RSC for a service estimate......they will let you know if the movement needs servicing etc. Enjoy.

If you're certain this is a keeper, wear the heck out of it. Otherwise, worth pondering a sale for profit, assuming you didn't already pay a premium for condition.

Unworn 16600 - Should I wear it or save it

Sell it for a premium, buy a lightly-used example, pocket the change!

Do you think the value will escalate in its as new condition, IMHO its doubtful just to many around.Just cannot understand today's Rolex watch owners myself always buy my watches to wear.Trouble today Rolex are no longer watches to some they are now little more than $$$$$$$$$£££££££££.

Do what I did. This Sub was bought new in 1989 by original owner and kept in a safe till 2016. I come along, buy it and within 30 seconds that bad boy is on my wrist...no messing about
