Engraving

Does engraving the back of a Rolex void any warranties or have any impacts when needing service in the future?

My day Date was engraved because our company buys at discount and Rolex said the back had to be engraved. It doesn't effect it from my perspective.

removing the engraving from the back

Is is possible to remove the engraving from the back with emery cloth of the same grit than the original finish . Most of the engraving are usually light enough to be removed . It is possible by people familiar with the process .

If you want to go for it. You can always get a new case back and it won’t matter.

Warranty will only be voided if it’s a deepsea. Other than that, carve away!

Ask the dealer to confirm in writing then you have peace of mind, when needed.
