6th on the waiting list....

Made a quick call to my AD. 5 people in front of me for the BLNR. Conservative estimate of around spring next year.

I was 10th 6 weeks ago so I was a little surprised.

Trying to put it out of my mind but finding it really difficult!

Good luck mate, I love my BLNR.

Glasgow ADs are struggling against low supply and large lists just now.

Consider visiting other ADs within driving distance and get on their lists.

Good luck.

I've actually contacted every AD as far as Perth and none of them estimate anything within 12 months and a few had closed their lists. Interestingly, I spoke to a highly reputable non-AD in Glasgow (you'll probably know who I mean) and was told he's expecting one next week and will sell for around £7,200 providing it's immaculate. I've decided to wait it out though and hope there's no price increase.

I know who you mean, and if it’s who I’m thinking of, I know them and they’re very trustworthy. (The walk up the stairs make me feel very unfit)

It’s a gamble as I see the BLNR go up to £7250 or so at next increase.

£7200 for a mint one is a decent buy, it just hurts to pay over list price. I got mine when list was £5,950.

£7200 is reasonable but some of the crazy £8k plus prices are just robbery.

Yeah the walk is quite something. I was glad to be greeted warmly and with an array of SS models to enjoy. We had a good chat and he was impressed with my Calibre S - whipping it off me and zeroing the hands! He said he could potentially sell it for more but was just happy to have one and see it go quickly.

I asked if he had came across a new Sea Dweller but he hadn't unfortunately. I thinks it's the only model I would snap up before the BLNR if one became available (at RRP though).

For the sake of a few months wait, go AD and pay retail. It’s a great watch but it’s not 10% over retail great. Be patient and it’ll be on your wrist before you know it.

I did and I've actually paid the balance to remove any hesitation when I eventually get the call.

If you've got the cash waiting and you've got a good relationship with your AD, my guess is you will move up that list a lot quicker than you might think.

If your AD gets one in Jan or Feb, it will be a big test for a lot of people as the bills will have started rolling in from the Christmas celebrations.

This is where a lot start dropping by the wayside as they just cant afford it due to other financial commitments.

Good luck anyway and keep the forum updated with your progress...

Regards

Good luck OP getting your BLNR as soon as a possible. It’s a beautiful piece and worth the wait.

Lol this comment always comes up.....however the OP is in the UK where it’s a totally different market...

Even black subs are hard to buy at list price from an AD here,

Same here. Most ADs have zero SS models on display
