Err buddies...whatever you do with your prized possessions of vintage Rolex watches...
having the stunning n wonderful...Patina effects that has occurred naturally...
DO REMEMBER this...

NEVER should you keep your prized watches...
near to prolonged exposure...to bright light source...
such as within any display stands or cabinets...
under any incandescent lamps...
n BEST is to stay well clear off...being near to the extreme heat of ANY...
Tungsten Halogen Lamp...

The prolonged n extreme Heat/UV rays...would in quite certainty accelerate...
the aging effects...causing untidy blisters or fading...
n inconsistent spotting...on the surface of the Rolex Dials...
especially in Black Glossy paint...or Black Matte finishing...

Here's what Orchi believes to be the one that had been subjected to...
prolonged exposure to Heatwave n UV rays...either from the bright Sunshine...
or under hot light source...that probably has accelerated this particular Dial to deteriorate...
disintegrate...crack up n fade...

This other example should illustrate the Patina effects...which would occur naturally...
more or less to a certain extent...due to oxidation process...n moisture or the lack of it...

Here are my offerings Orchi. My 1982 16800 Submariner with the original Matte dial and hands. I know the picture quality is bad, but you can see the patina.

Wabi Sabi. The more character these beauties take on the more beautiful they are. Thanks for all the great pics.
