Need help on authenticity

Hey Guys,

Newbie here thinking of buying a 1971 Oysterdate. Selling at usd1600.

Additional info, according to seller it is a 6694 Oysterdate circa 1971 which fits well 6.75" wrist. Need your expert opinion if it is real before I get the watch..

It’s real but in at best fair condition, case is over polished, bands average you know it’s a manual wind not automatic, you can do better imho

It's a nice looking watch from the 70's, likely.

Price is decent. It does look like somebody cleaned and buffed it externally, but it seems to have plenty of meat left for a decent refinish job.

One thing to consider before buying a nearly 50 y.o. watch.

If you plan to keep it a lifetime, you will come upon the issue of spare parts availability.
