Rolex 6305 2 cal 745
Help! In search of parts for a Rolex Datejust 6305 2. More specifically the weight bearing shaft and spring. This was my great grandfathers watch and I would really love to get it running again. If anyone has any info on where to source this part from I would greatly appreciate it.
Kind regards John |

John, I have inherited one too.
It's a darn rare watch! Mine is 1955 in ping gold, runs flawless and has a movement serial #98325. By 1994 Rolex HQ had very few parts for it - 25 years ago... I'm sure a major US watchmaker would have a calibre 745 lying around for parts. Best of luck and - please post pictures of yours!!! |

Yes it is difficult to source parts.
Check out ScotchWatch (google). What do you mean by weight bearing shaft and spring? The piece that goes under the automatic winder? I would start an ebay saved search for "rolex 745" and spend a few months looking. I have a 645 that I am rebuilding (ref 6303) and finding it hard to get parts or information. Especially from the tight lipped Rolex aficionados. |
