Rolex 6305 2 cal 745

Help! In search of parts for a Rolex Datejust 6305 2. More specifically the weight bearing shaft and spring. This was my great grandfathers watch and I would really love to get it running again. If anyone has any info on where to source this part from I would greatly appreciate it.
Kind regards
John

John, I have inherited one too.

It's a darn rare watch!

Mine is 1955 in ping gold, runs flawless and has a movement serial #98325.

By 1994 Rolex HQ had very few parts for it - 25 years ago...

I'm sure a major US watchmaker would have a calibre 745 lying around for parts.

Best of luck and - please post pictures of yours!!!

Yes it is difficult to source parts.

Check out ScotchWatch (google).

What do you mean by weight bearing shaft and spring? The piece that goes under the automatic winder?

I would start an ebay saved search for "rolex 745" and spend a few months looking.

I have a 645 that I am rebuilding (ref 6303) and finding it hard to get parts or information. Especially from the tight lipped Rolex aficionados.
