My guess is a 3200 lease payment. I would definitely weigh it against buying. G’s hold their value better than most other vehicles and I doubt the lease terms are going to be that favorable as the 2019 G63 is red hot right now.

Let us know how the test drive goes, I think you will be impressed one way or another. The 63 is a beast, it definitely will bring out some emotions.

One of the best, if not the best car on retaining value. Either way, you will not go wrong. It's a statement of a car, but so what. I love the G for many years, and for years I have trying to convince my wife to get one for a daily. I have not been able to convince her. Do it. Love this new one too, many many improvements.

The resale is incredible on these things. I think a big factor is that the design remained basically unchanged for so many years. You can make a 2002 model look like a 2017 with just a few exterior mods. A ton of people here in LA do that. Maybe with the new design, we'll see the price dip on the older ones? Who knows...

I had 2 of them. I had the G55 for a year and said I would never buy one again. Then I walked into the dealership and bought a designo G550, again the worse SUV I ever had. Everything squeaks, rode really harsh and it was all over the place at 70MPH. I've driven the new G550 and it is much improved over the previous model but still harsher then anything else out there in its segment. Most of the squeaks and rattles are gone but it doesn't have that loud thump when you close the door as the previous models where you felt it was like a bank vault.

Now on my 2nd Cayenne Turbo and this thing is in a whole different class.

Just because a vehicle holds its value, doesn't automatically mean a lease is a bad deal. Residuals will in fact be higher, and it could be worth more than the residual in 2/3 years. Actually look at the math on the lease and make an educated decision.

Looking forward to the photos as well.

It's a wonderful car. Reeks for attention and speaks wealth.

If you're comfortable with that kind of attentionthen that's okay. I, myself love to see who comes out of that ride.

I hope to see you soon though. lol

It’s a car you give to your wife, total chick car. All the teenage girls get them for high school graduation around here. Our local Benz dealer charges a premium on top of the sticker for the 550 and the 63 cuz he can’t keep them in stock due to demand. Go to whole foods on a weekday afternoon or spin/yoga studios downtown, they line the streets.

Always been a fan but love the 2019 version. Little out of my comfort zone cost wise. Such a cool factor ride!

Not quite gold, but I’ve seen a yellow 6x6 version in Beverly Hills. Nothing says “I have a tiny wiener” more than that thing. Wow.

Tell me about it, my GF hijacked it from me. Still though, there nothing "chick" about 560HP AMG at 5700 pounds. Beast.

I love the vehicle.

I have only seen them in London.

I doubt I will ever own one because even though they seem to retain value, I don’t see them being worth nearly twice the cost of a RR Vogue/ SE

They are certainly a head turner but I think they have a slightly dodgy image.

Its the epitome of a status symbol vehicle. What is there to really appreciate about a high HP box on wheels? Do you really find this aesthetically pleasing? To each their own and people do seem to like them but I could find a lot better ways to spend 150K on a vehicle.....

Anything at all? Any shrinkage or other rumored side effects?

And solid 24k would be the Dubai edition. Probably a typical high school graduation gift over there!

Great car though! I've always loved G wagons and would buy one in the future, although red is not my color. Let us know how the test drive goes!

You're right about that. The Moscow Edition would be black on black with limo tint. It goes with the whole gangster aesthetic.

When I visited Yerevan, I saw so many G Wagons, it was just stupid. I'd see caravans of 5-6 black G Wagons driving down the street. I asked my friend who lives there what's that all about. His response? Oligarchs/gangsters.
