Early incoming

So this is nothing close to the awesome incomings I’ve seen on here, especially the epic grand complication recently, however it means quite a bit to me as it is my first Patek. I’ve been hoping to acquire a Patek for a long time and it is perfect timing that I would finally receive one on my birthday of all days.

I placed an order with my longtime AD back in June and was told to expect the watch around Christmas. To my great surprise I got a text at the end of last week with a picture of the sealed watch saying it’s ready for pick up.

Received the watch yesterday and man, it does not disappoint. I’ve had watches from many other manufacturers and it was quite a special moment to put on my first Patek.

Thanks to the forum for providing great insight and photos on this crazy passion of ours.

On to the pics...

Still sealed

First time on the wrist

Great presentation

Love the view

My small collection meets its new friend

Cheers everyone!

Congratulations! This Patek thing is a slippery slope! Enjoy that watch and the ride to come.

Is that a new (unsold) 5711 in the background of the second picture?

Thanks! I figured I might get a question or two about that, it's actually a 7118 ladies nautilus that I'm looking at for my wife. I'm sure if it was a 5711 it would not be sitting there!

Love it - wearing mine today too.

We have a similar collection - yours is another level, but similar building blocks. Enjoy and wear proudly.

Congratulations! Looks great on your wrist!

The 5167 is really awesome - a watch that I considered underwhelming in pictures, but in person, it was something I knew I had to have. Bought it as a placeholder to tide me over before getting a 5712, but it's a watch to stay.
