This is obviously above and beyond...bravo to AP.

Next step I would like to see....a willingness to re-allocate you a watch at MSRP if yours is stolen, etc. after this two year period.

Most of have insurance already and not going to cancel it on the wife's 2022. However, I would love to see something where you can provide proof of insurance reimbursement and get allocated a new watch to buy with it.

This is saving easily 3-500 bucks a year, so over 2 years in many cases we are talking over 1K.

I already have some of my watches insured, but in the case of AP this is even better than a regular insurance.

Is this what OP was referring to?

The option to active AP Coverage Service was added to one of my recent pieces under my AP profile.

"The AP Coverage Service is a 2-year complimentary service covering the risks of theft as well as partial or total functional damage.
The service is available for all AP watches initially acquired in 2022 and 2023, in Audemars Piguet boutiques, AP Houses or via official retailers. The watches initially acquired in 2022 will be covered until December 31, 2024, regardless of the date of purchase and for those acquired in 2023, they will be covered for a period of 2 years from the date of the initial purchase. Learn more on the service.
The service must be activated in your name before the occurence of the theft or damage, by using the form below."

That’s a shock. Safest watch in my collection to wear in london an AP. Who would have thought it?!

Credit to AP.

As it’s only covering 2022 onward purchases I’d better stop wearing my 2021 purchased ROO to the “Co-Op” and “TK Maxx” maybe

Not to worry, I won't hurt the people who come for my watch. Maybe

I know right? Credit where credit is due. Can wear RG fearlessly now!

The price hikes have been insane, but this is real value insurance wise. 2.5% premium per year for two years, takes some of the bite out of the price.

BTW I'm reading thru the fine print, seems they have to approve you first for the coverage. Then even if you are approved doesn't mean you automatically get a replacement or get your money back. It's still at their discretion. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

All is good guys, I think as crazy as it is.

AP is downside protected as I don’t think anyone would have gotten more than 2/3 pieces in 2022-2023

Then it also allows AP to track who still has said pieces with them right now-> probably more important to them as a thought exercise

Log in worked yesterday. AP requires photos of the watch front and back side, warranty card and personal details.
As people have written, it also allows them to see if people still have the watches. :)

I think more interesting is the list of who hasn’t registered their eligible watches :D

Just got the mail with instructions:
"Driven by its desire to push the limits and seek beyond, Audemars Piguet is proud to offer a unique coverage service to cover the risks of theft as well as partial or total functional damage for all AP watches initially acquired in 2022 and 2023, in our Audemars Piguet’s boutiques, AP Houses or via official retailers."

Need to take some pictures and get this done.

Do we know if AP are emailing all owners with watches purchased in 2022 and 2023? I bought (and still have) 2 RO's in that time period so guess I'm due an email soon....

Wow, I'm absolutely stunned at how AP has been so good to its clients. This is even better than insurance, and it's free.

Just did this online. You’ll need to take a few pics of watch and warranty card but otherwise pretty simple.
