Its only small if you have been stereotyped into thinking its small, and as many guys today seem to wear there watches much too low on the wrist they will look even smaller.Watches look best when worn on the wrist just above the wrist bone, unless you are one of those who like to have his watch on show look I am wearing a Rolex.

Looking at how the Daytona sits on some of the 8 and 9 inch wrists on this thread, I guess I have a 9.5 inch wrist. Funny, I always measured it at 7.25 inches...

If you like a larger watch then wear a larger watch, it,s what you think. You should take a photo from a perspective that is not so close. For comparison the Skydweller on my wrist feels very comfortable, but i also like the 36mm.
I think i am just a bit larger than 8inches.

It isn’t just the wrist size that matters the shape of your wrist will also matter.

The neat size of the Daytona is one of it's key charms. 40mm is more than large enough, even on chunkier wrists. The real issue is the fashion for 'big' everything...including watches. They don't look so good on the wrist, to me at least. 38-40mm is about right.

Me either. It's a fashion trend, like bell bottoms, fed, in part, I think by the fact that watches aren't really necessary any more because of iPhones and thus are related to more as conspicuous jewelry. Don't get me wrong, I love my BLNR and SS/PL yachtmaster as the machine works of art that they are, but I think this is driving the fashion for massive watches.

Agreed. My brother in law is a husky guy... Not fat, but has a layer of fat on him, if that makes sense. Like a linebacker. His wrist is 8.5”, but watches look the same on his wrist as on my lean 7.25” wrist.

So there you have it OP. You've heard everything from it'll look too small to you can wear 30 mm.

I guess only you can decide.

Ceramic bezel Daytona on a big wrist.

I have a 8" wrist. I hated wearing my DSSD after I got a SubC. The new SD is great and the 44mm AP ROO is great. I dot think the Daytona is too small for a 8" wrist. I have a bigger issue with a huge loose watch on a tiny wrist.

Best I can do right now but a sub and Daytona c next to each other. And then it on my 8" wrist. Imho I don't think size is anything but a small optical illusion.

As for people saying about the DSSD it's a nice watch. That said I've had one probably longer than 99% of the people on this forum. I ordered it the day it was released at Basel 08. I wore it daily for years until I tried on a SubC. Now it might be worn 5x a year. If you wear sleeves not a good choice. It's an amazing price of engineering but so was the space shuttle and you don't drive it to work. You might try something like a DJII but imho 40mm on a 8" wrist looks great and is super comfortable. If you really want a it's watch get a PAM, Omega, or Brietling. Be seen eoplenwith 8.75" wrists with subs. No one will judge a sub.

Edit that is my asap not my Sub. But only noticeable difference is thickness.
