What's the problem, cash the check?

If it's good then deliver the watch.

The issue i'm having is the from the couple emails I received he seemed very sketchy. He was really pushing check as a payment. I understand that in my payment methods I have check as an option but sometimes prefer not to receive a check as it has a chance of being a bad check.

Asked for references which the email was ignored and got his number to call and feel him out. When I called it forwarded to a "text to email" voicemail.

That is the reason why I posted here just to see if he was trying to buy high ticket items with bad checks.

it could take up to 14 business days after the check "clears" before you realize it is bad

Take the check, go to his bank and cash it.

Exactly, I think some of the people telling me to just cash it don't understand that it can "clear" making you think you have the money. Once the watch is shipped that's when a life lesson hits you straight on the forehead.
