VOUTILAINEN the end

So finally after 14,5 months, well for you guys only 12 on 28th of September, but more for me.

Have to thank 2 people, Martin who posted the pic of this model in a thread, before him had only seen cery classical Voutilainen models, and especially my friend Dimitry, de66, who assisted me daily on the decisions for the designs and choices.

I am not a good photographer but here goes, the watch is much better in real, but not enough light, here are a few will send more in a few days with sunlight and all. There is one thing that I don't love it's Aphrodite's breasts, I did ask for a redoing of it, and did get pics where it seemed they had been redone, not really sure what happened, maybe it was impossible to re-do what had been engraved, no a specialist, but anyways it isn't nice when you have a picture of it, as you see it times 10-20, but when you see the watch in real it's so small that you don't notice at all, you just see an intricate engraving with a lot of depth, so it doesn't bother me, and even if it did there is no way I was giving it back to him for changes, 14 months is too much and apart this small almost invisible detail the watch is a beauty, much nicer than on pics.Kari said that the parts which are below will become darker with wearing it and give it more depth. Anyways hope Tapatalk works...

The last one is to show the brushed middle case... anyways Zurich wifi sucks and I need to be able to call a taxi when I come back, and in any case pics will be much better in better lighting, but still better than Kari's )))

Ps: Roger I know I need a manicure, no need to mention it but as well as in Odessa I take care of that myself, as well in Paris it's a little caveman style, but in Paris I don't care as I don't go out much except to see friends...

In fact it's quite strange but when you look at the engraving with your eyes the breasts look perfect and round, while in pics not really the case, but will mostly be looking at the real thing and not pics...
Here is another pic where you see the mix of 2 letters in the middle, it is slightly grey, it's the Alpha and Omega, since my name starts with A thought it would be nice, and it's small letters, not capital, so not the Omega you see on the watches of the brand...

That is absolutely fantastic
I followed your journey but didn't respond, these threads become too long
But believe me, I was looking forward to the result

And this with a hunter case is a work of art

Very well done!!!!

I hope to add an independent to my collection one day but I'm not sure if it will ever happen and which one I would choose

Congratulations !!!!

Thanks, it's great to get it, but the months you are choosing what you want exactly is as good, I chose KV because he is probably the one which will do the most modifications on a normal model, basically no limit except case, lugs and hands. Yeah the thread was long, but from the start was asked to put different things.

Thanks Cru, for me the hunter case is much cooler than without, you can see the movement but just need to open it, seems some are bothered by that, I am not, on the contrary...

Just got a slight cold shiver doing tax refund, the guy looks at the watch, doesn't take it, and tells me "it's not crocodile?", but with a kind of look telling me to say "No no", it's obvious it's croc, I guess they have a ban on some leathers, the guy is not stupid, he sees it's croc, but I guess he didn't have the heart to make me leave without the strap on a watch at that price, even if I have a second one, that would have sucked...

Congrats on an excellent piece! I really like the case back and the dial colors! I know it took a long time, but the end result is fantastic!

Stunning, and well worth the wait, if not the interminable thread about the wait.

Hearty congratulations, you must be absolutely thrilled.

That case is wonderful art! And complements the watch perfectly. I quite like the feel of metal against the skin compared to glass, so, that's another positive. Good choice.

As for the strap, wow, nice guy!!

Arnaud I am missing the old signature

Enjoy the watch. All three sides (dial, caseback, display movement) are beauties

Well the interminable thread was due in part to guys wanting to see Odessa girls, I think a certain James was one of them thanks my friend, looks much better in real but crappy light, will try to make better pics within a few days

It would have sucked to see them take away the strap, cool guy, clearly saw it was croc, he asked I said "no no"...

In fact what is very cool with the engraving is that the alpha and omega, depending on the angle can look like WG or grey, quite interesting, not sure how he does but they really change color, while the rest doesn't...

Absolutely beautiful..that dial is unbelievable.

I have dipped into your thread on the journey a couple of times, but look forward to giving it a proper read, particularly seeing how remarkable the end result is

Congrats Arnaud, I’m sure you’re relieved to have finally received it – even with the naturally droopy boob. It’s the angle she’s lying at, that’s all.
Enjoy it.

Good job the border official spotted that the strap was imitation crocodile!

Thanks PJ, I guess in ancient Greece they didn't have silicone implants

Yes after 14,5 months from start kind of happy to have it, and waiting to see how it looks like in the sun and good lighting.

Oh he did see it was croc, but on a watch this price I guess he let it pass, who the hell is gonna put imitation croc on a watch that price, he did ask, with a look "say no", and didn't even take the watch, it is not written on the back of the strap, just "Voutilainen hand made" but it clearly looks NOT fake

No, he clearly noticed that it was regular leather with an embossed croc pattern…(wink, wink, nudge, nudge) – that’s why he got you to correctly tick the NO box.

Thanks my friend, I love yours as well. But there is a HUGE inconvenience with mine, can't seem to keep it on the wrist, probably took it off 30 times since I have it to look at case back and movement.

Thanks Martin, and thanks for having posted this model in a thread "which independent?" or some name like that. I enjoyed the knowledge I got these 4 years, and if there are threads really or very funny will post, but I feel like I had enough of the same watches over and over again incoming, it was great and fun while it lasted, will make appearances but not like before, and certainly not post threads, that's for sure

Thanks mate, well I would have preferred them to look like a few of my ex girlfriends', and no they didn't have silicone in them but hey the engraving is tiny, of course when you take the pic it is a little different than the project he drew, but the watch is amazing, according to angles the movement, dial and case back change a lot

Oh I would be all on the last pages if I saw a thread like that, though there is 1 pic around page 4-5 I think, I love watches, but a hot chick is a hot chick, but you have on other pages as well, 4 pics with 7 girls in all, ok 1 of the 6 I don't know, and 2 are ex girlfriends so if you don't see 7 girls keep searching
