Help Needed on Upcoming Purchase: Grand Seiko vs Nomos

I need some help with an upcoming purchase. Looking for a casual/dressy piece to compliment my 114060. (Similar to a DJ but not a DJ)

Anyhow, I've narrowed it down to two choices and would love your opinions!

1) Grand Seiko SBGX263 37mm 9F Quarts

Pros:

It's a Grand Seiko
Stunning Casework
9F Quartz movement is the most accurate in the world (+/- 10 sec a YEAR)
Zero service costs, other than batteries every 3 years

Cons:

Despite the accuracy, some may see the quartz as inferior to mechanical

2) Nomos Club 38 Campus Nacht

Pros:

California Dial
Hand winding mechanical

Cons:

Future service costs
Doesn't come on a bracelet
Could be a little too youthful

Of the two offered I would choose the Grand Seiko. But I would go back to looking and see if there is another Grand Seiko that works better and had an automatic movement. For NOMOS, I like the styling but do not believe the watch to be worth what they are asking and it wears small. Before I would spend the money on NOMOS I would look at Longines and Hamilton, both better brands over all in my opinion, with some history and strap/bracelet options.

How a watch is powered is completely immaterial, if you get a lift from how it looks – which even though cheaper than mechanical and Spring Drive models, doesn’t suffer from any lesser finishing to the movement or hands/indices/etc.
To that end, it effectively makes the Nomos an irrelevance – which doesn’t help itself with that stupid (definitely not quirky) ‘California’ dial.

GS for sure. That Nomos really doesn’t appeal to me.

Big fan of Nomos, will be posting an incoming soon. If you think the Club is too youthful consider an Orion or a Ludwig.

GS mainly because that Nomos dial would drive me crazy.

I'd rather spend a bit more and have a Vintage DJ over either.

Nomos for me, but not that one. I don't especially like Roman numerals, and definitely not when mixed with Arabics like that. If GS, then I'd have a hi-beat or perhaps a spring drive.

Would this be only your 2nd watch?

I bought a Grand Seiko Quartz, and it is nice knowing besides battery changes (which I've done once already on my own), it should be pretty maintenance free. But I own a ton of automatics at various price points, I don't think I would be too scared of owning a Rolex and a Nomos in regards to servicing them.

That being said, I think I like the way the GS looks better, and honestly, I respect the 9F movement as much as almost any simple mechanical

I'd pick the GS, but on a leather strap.
