A$$ is a positive in this case. The rest of the post is a serious conversation.. Are people feeling successful...? When did the stainless models start disappearing?

See Rule 6. You're inviting a lock, rather than a conversation.

ibtl....I do think OP didn't mean it negatively. But, yes, those are the rules. By the way, my retirement accounts are looking great!

No worries. I think the effect of the economy on the watch market is a legitimate topic that can make for a good discussion. Keeping it apolitical will help to keep the conversation on track.

Agree.. I guess the reasons for a good economy should never be discussed though.. Either way..

Mine are doing great too.. It's to the point where they really are almost to big.. Now, how to buy a few rolex essentials with my IRAs, ROTH, ROLLOVER accounts.. I guess I'll have to wait until I'm 59.5..

IBTL!!

Agree with this comment. The question is, what approach do watch makers take to position themselves to benefit now, but not end up with over supply and massive discounting when the boil comes off asset prices

This is what im thinking... the gap between precious metal Rolex Sport models and steel is rather high (double MSRP)? So the SS models are undervalued in people's minds.....just today i just read different brand has the difference of 10-20% SS vs Precious Metal....so the gap is relatively close.....just my thinking...

When multiple different luxury items sell for over MSRP on the aftermarket it usually means that times are great. How long they’ll stay great is a guess
