16710 vs 16750 - help me decide!
I’m currently debating my next purchase, which will be a pepsi gmt.
I love the warmth and patina of the vintage models, but I also love the shininess of the modern ones. I have a speedmaster, 14060m, and breitling chronomat in my collection. I seem to change my mind every day, so I thought it would be helpful to get people’s suggestions. Thanks! |

I personally like the 16750 if you can get the earlier year models in the matte dial without the gold markings. This gives it the best of the old world (ref 1650) and the newer models. I also like the bezel font on the 16750 as compared to my 16710(which has a smaller font)

16710. I've owned both - at least a couple times!

Do you want a quick set date or a sapphire crystal?
What about 16700? |

For clarification, I’m talking about 16750 matte dial. Like its quick set date compared to 1675.

Depends on what you want to do with it.
If you just like the looks of a GMT, get the one you like the looks of. If you want functionality, the 16710 with it's more flexible jump hour hand is by far easier to use as a true dual-time watch. The 16750 is only dual time if you turn the bezel and they don't stay where you put them all the time. I don't think that you can go wrong with either, but you should have one that is useful to you.

16750 matte. Who wants to look at all those smudges on a sapphire crystal anyway

As you have the 14060M, a 16710 would complement it beautifully.

Why are you touching the crystal?

Agreed, it's so annoying. But I'm neurotic enough to carry around a tiny micro-fiber cloth in my pocket any time I'm wearing a sapphire-crystal watch. Works like a charm.

I like both and with prices converging you can't go wrong with either. For me ... 16750 matte dial!

I choose the 16710 for the function. Love the solid end links and I can see the time at night.

Depends on the condition of the 16750. If it were a matte dial, and if the watch was in absolutely mint unpolished condition with very little bracelet stretch, then I'd go 16750.
If it does not meet those conditions, then 16710 all the way.
