Icon20 6263 Big Red Garantie

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is safe and well in these times.

I'm looking to buy a 6263 Daytona from what appears to be a respected dealer.

It's a 1981 watch with a 619XXXX serial number.

It is offered with a recent (2019) Rolex Service receipt and its original 'Garantie' - which is the handwritten (with a typed serial number) type - and stamped from the original dealer etc.

The certificate's reference number (bottom right) is 572 02 300 - which had me wondering if it might possibly be a 70s certificate (and therefore not correct.)

My limited research seems to suggest that 572 01 XXX certificates are 70s but I can't find much info on 572 02 XXX certificates.

I just don't want to end up with an (expensive) Daytona with an incorrect certificate. I may as well buy a Big Red without papers for considerably less.

Many thanks in advance for any/all help.

Stay safe.
