What are your opinions on Casio watches?

I want to buy a watch for my dad and i was wondering if Casio watches are any good.. I was thinking about the edifice series. They seem good and are also convenient as price. Anyone who owns one or knows more about the quality of the watches, please help :D

The GSHOCKS are tough as you can get. I have the "MULTIBAND 6" Aviator and it is my favorite.
I also have an “Edifice” too, and though it’s not built like the black one it is still quite nice and for a quartz powered timepiece you can’t beat the price....

Buy them at the gas station for a couple of bucks. That's what I think every time I see them.

Gifted the GF my old Casio Calculator watch lol. She gets more compliments on it than anything I own. People love that thing, not to mention its usefulness.

Got to say - I do like my little Casio world timer. Perfect for the gym.

this one seems well liked.

Casio make solid, fun, accurate watches. Can't knock them at all.

Casios are excellent watches. A lot of engineering and timekeeping performance for low prices. I have a couple of radio controlled that are always less than 1 sec off of the U.S. Atomic clock in Colorado.

I used to wear them all the time. I loved my king. But now a days I’ve been stuck in the sub, speedy, OP rotation.

Very tough watches, I wore this one on duty for years and continue to wear it from time to time. Resets itself every night to the US atomic clock.
Being solar powered it’s never needed a battery change, I’d guess that it’s about 10 years old.

I just bought the GW 5000 as it’s a great representation of the original G Shock from 1983. This is a higher priced model (made in Japan) but it’s built like a tank and extremely accurate.

I wore a Casio calculator to work for many years. My wife used to say why are you wearing that plastic watch? Pre-cell phone days, I liked the calculator and phone list.

Still have a few. They last. Amazon is the best source. Edifices are a value.

I sold Casios in the Los Angeles area from 1981 to 1983. I had one I kept in my car glove box for 7 years until the battery died.

G Shocks are awesome, especially the ones that have solar batteries, radio timekeeping, and automatic calendars - a literal perpetual timepiece! I just wish they made one where the radio signals worked in my part of the world.

I picked up this Japan market G Shock as my gym/beach/travel beater. I like the negative LCD display and the neon blue accents. The finishing is not as great as that other timepiece, but it's got better water resistance and doesn't show scratches. Plus: it's got digital hacking seconds

G Shock is a beast. Take a kicking and keeps on ticking. My go to watch for traveling to parts less civilized.
