Just finished off the last of a bottle of Jamieson's (Black Barrel); and now "downgraded" with it's replacement, Stout Edition.

Methinks that irish whiskeys are under appreciated, no?

It’s a little early for whiskey, but this one just came in from an auction. The code dates it to May 2006, which happens to be the month/year I graduated college. Pretty cool coincidence, and also means it’s from before the change in barrel entry proof. So I guess you could call it “dusty” but we’ll have to see when I open it.

I have too many open right now, and a bunch more in the chute, so it’ll probably sit in storage for a little bit. Happy Friday, everyone!

Got Mini’s? Snagged a few a couple months ago, this OGD 86proof from National Distillers (1980) and this Baker’s 7/107 from Beam ((1998-ish).

Probably won’t pop them this weekend, but I will be smoking this Hoyo de Monterey tonight.

This WT Decades keeps getting better every time I pour it…

The IW Harper is a 1980s bottling distilled at the Old Bernheim Distillery. I think it was a United Distillers bottling, and it is darn good, even at 86 proof. Glad I scored this one.

New delivery from a whiskey buddy in Las Vegas, he was able to snag two of these for me. Looks to be Barton juice, but well aged and 103 proof should be a great combo. And I actually like Barton’s stuff…
