Sky Dweller… I’m one of the non-Daytona die hard fans…

I have both and love both of them. The blue dial and complication is very cool. The Daytona also is amazing and goes with everything. I think people recognize the Daytona more.

Third option, black SS Daytona. I just think a black watch is the staple for a one watch collection.

Fourth and Fifth option. 126610LN and 124270.

SkyDweller for me by a mile. It’s the far more interesting piece from a movement and function perspective, and (for me) the size wears much better than the Daytona. And while neither are exactly shy and retiring pieces, I think the Daytona suffers a bit at the moment from being seen by many as THE Rolex to have simply because of hype. (Note - I’m not tarring most WIS with that brush, but in the wider hype and social media driven world, that’s how it appears).

I have to pick the sky dweller because it’s unique and has useful complication as compared to the chrono which IMO is a cosmetic feature lol.

get the steel 116520 and blue sky and you are good

Have both... No way could I decide to get rid of one. Hmmm..... Daytona now and SkyD blue later... I guess.

Steel Daytona is my vote. I own both. And also, I think Daytona is a lot more cost, for some reason blue sky hasn’t skyrocketed recently like the Daytonas have

I prefer the daytona, but would get neither for market.

Daytona, if you want a watch that looks like a skydweller just buy a DJ41 blue fluted bezel. Yes movement isn’t the same but we never look inside our watches

I love them both. They’re my two favorite SS Rolex timepieces.

But if only one…definitely the 116500ln White Daytona.

the DJ looks nothing like the SkyD, in fact no other watches look like a skyD, on the other hand there are ton of watches look like a daytona …

Always thought this as well. I like the datejust dial better, cleaner. Plus it is not oversized like the SD.

Will have to get back to you once I get my blue sky D to compare in person to my white dial Daytona. Think it will be close but it’s gonna be tough to beat the Daytona

Zero desire for a Skydweller. Chose black dial for Daytona.

Sky is beautiful but too big in my opinion. Daytona is perfect and has the history to go along with the watch.

Hard choice. I have all types of Daytona and also have PM and steel white SkyD. I'd say if you have large wrist and only one watch, then SkyD.

In the most complementary way: The Daytona is a Daytona. The Sky Dweller is a beautiful marvel.
I enjoy having both.
Also depends on your wrist size to get one or the other, they make a great combo if you could swing that.

Definitely the SS Daytona. It’s a stunning watch and a must have in every Rolex collection imo. Prefer the black dial though.
