Wearing Dad's Watch Today???
How many of you are wearing a watch that belonged to your Dad today??? If my Church were open today (Virus restrictions I'm not on board with) I'd be wearing his 1940's gold Hamilton tank which he received after graduating from Marquette. Later this morning I'll be wearing his SS Benrus Wristalarm. I remember him wearing this watch everyday while growing up. Both watches have been routinely serviced and function perfectly. What say you????

Wearing my Dad’s Daytona today. He passed 5 years ago and I just had it serviced since he bought it new in 09.

Yes but indirectly. I traded a ring of his (inherited) for my first Rolex purchase - a DJ41. I think of him when I wear it! My daughter will be wearing his original 16013 however! Looking forward to a fun afternoon with my daughter's.

Not his watch specifically, but a matching one! He wears a two tone DJ ref 16233 and has had it for 30+ years. He got it when reaching a big life milestone. It is what I always saw as THE Rolex, so when I got to that same milestone I wanted the same as him. This watch continues to serve him well, and I plan on mine doing the same.

Got up early to watch the French Gran Prix this morning. My Dad was an avid F1 fan. My first memory of his watch was him letting me hold it to time laps at the US Gran Prix, Watkins Glen, in the early ‘70’s. I wasn’t timing laps this morning but was feeling close to my dad.
Keep a watch for your kid, it will be very special to them.

Love WGI btw. Every driver should stay at the 'famous driver's' hotel too for a night....
