Motorcycle love

Any other motorcycle riders on TRF?

I have a passion for riding 2wheeled machines, cutting my teeth on a 2002 Suzuki DRZ400S and currently on a Ducati Scrambler 800 and Triumph Thunderbird.

Also a huge MotoGP fan.

We all know threads are useless without pics so here are my bikes. Would love to see yours and talk motorcycles.

Nice bikes. There's probably a couple of dozen bike threads here.

Good to know - I'm not looking to spam the boards. Will see if there are any other actives ones and breathe some life into those.

Thanks for the heads up

Nice bike.

I've always wondered about cornering on a 3 wheeler. Obviously you don't lean it over like a normal bike.

Did you find that strange when you bought the trike?? Does it feel still like a motorcycle or more like a sports car?

I see people running around in a Polaris and wonder if it isn't more like riding in a Miata.

I always wanted a bike but had too many friends with pretty bad accidents for me to ever seriously consider it.

In my imaginary world, I always imagined that I’d either ride a Triumph or Ducati

Sweet bike!

mine is a '96 from Hinckley. I love the Triumphs, but dislike the carbs!

Thank you! It took one short ride to get used to it vs a two wheeled bike. I’ve ridden 4 wheelers a lot in the past, so it reminded me of that. Not hard at all to get used to, no leaning, just kind of push/pull the handlebars.
It still feels like a motorcycle, just more solid and more bike underneath you, so to speak. It’s the same view from the seat. Just have to remember you are wider now, so you can stay towards the middle of the road, don’t put your feet down, and don’t go to close to gas pumps :)

And no lane splitting/filtering, I guess.

Thanks both of yours are beauties The Triumph makes me remember my Dads old bikes he would collect and tinker around with. He had an old Norton that was his favorite and is what started my passion for riding. Are you familiar with the company Ural Motorcycles?
I saw my first one in Hawaii a few years ago and really liked it. If I don’t wind up with an Indian Chief with a sidecar then the Ural might just be the next one.

Good one hey at least now we have the softails man those old rigid frames were something else on the body. Did your Pops enjoy being up on two wheels? I wish I could have had the opportunity to ride with my dad before he hung it up every time I visit him to break some bread and share a drink I could see it in his eyes how much he misses it. I tell him take it for spin I just filled it before I got here he just smiles and says “I wish I’d probably hurt myself” Father Time touches us all before we’re ready, So now we just sit and talk about the old days laugh and enjoy each other‘s company.

Ahhh man those are good times spent with Dad... just different huh? Yah I’ve been riding with my dad since I was 16 so 30 plus years now. He’s had a bike as long as I can remember. He got me into Harley’s about 15-20 years ago when the race track was beating me more than I was beating others..Few good scares on the track with sport bikes and even more on the street. Too many friends getting cocky and not getting away so lucky. Had to “slow down” and riding with pops was definitely part of that mindset. The guys a real Iron Butt... gotta hand it to him he’s done a hell of a lot more touring than I can dream. He’s older now obviously and it might get to that point here pretty quick I’m not sure how much longer he’s got on 2 wheels before we gotta have the “talk”.
You have a great way of expressing your thoughts and feelings btw ..I hope you and your dad have many many many more talks!!!

Fantastic Bike btw!!! Perfect machine for that side of the country!!!! I’m super jealous!!!
