Bought my first Rolex!

I paid for my first ever Rolex today, a T serial Explorer ii 16570. Full kit, all original parts and never serviced by Rolex, from the pictures it seems to be in a great condition. I paid $6300, not sure if I overpaid but it's my birth year Rolex and certainly a great watch that I can wear every day.

Can't wait to receive the watch this week, should I look into getting this serviced once I receive it?

I’d see how it runs first before considering having it serviced. If it’s running +/- 6 per day, I wouldn’t want my watch opened. But then there are seals to be considered if you’re going to expose it to any water depth.

Congratulations.

I bet you'll be excited to receive and unwrap the watch.

Wear it in the best of health.

Don't forget that you need to get some more posts done before you receive the watch so you can do the obligatory photos.

My only concern with getting it serviced is the waterproof seals. I'll likely end up sending it in to Rolex or a local watchmaker in the near future to make sure that it's safe to get it wet

It's a T-serial, which is 1996. I just got the watch and it's absolutely stunning! I'll post pics when I can :D
