What you guys don't experience is the smell these watches often come with. Not pretty.

Yes, I love how sellers now use “patina” to describe: scratched to hell, decrepit, grubby, flakey lume, rusty hands and, generally terrible looking timepieces.

I agree with you 100%.
I love the way some poor mistreated watch commands a premium price due to a paint or curing imperfection..... SPIDER DIAL!
They look crap!
Imagine trying to command a premium on a 60's Corvette because the paint is cracking.... SPIDER GUARD or DOOR or TRUNK or HOOD!
