Incoming!

Visited the AP boutique 2 weeks ago to continue to show my interest in the 15500. Had a great convo with the SA on what we were wearing and the new models. He even showed me the black panther.
Sent a thank you email for their great service and for showing me a pre-sold watch. Two days ago, I got the call and couldn't contain myself. Heart rate up and stuttering on the phone. Great service when picking up the watch.

Overall I waited 10 months for the watch. I consider myself fortunate as it was also my first AP purchase.

What this experience showed me is if you show your SA that you are a watch guy and display appreciation for their service, they may remember you when a new watch arrives in the store.

Big congrats on your new gorgeous timepiece!

You're very lucky to get this 15500ST in a very short wait time, it would be harder in the US.

Congratulations. It goes to show that these watches are available to the everyday person. Even though the haters think otherwise. Wear it and wear it well. It's one of the favorites in my collection. Uh

What a beautiful pickup, congrats! Would you give us some insight on how the conversations went with the SA? What does a "watch guy" talk about to express interest on a hot model like the 15500? I'm planning to visit my local boutique in the near future, i'm not a know-it-all watch guy and I don't want to risk going there only to end up being looked down at.

Wear a watch that starts a convo. I take off my watch and have the display caseback facing the SA and they will ask.
Start a convo on what the SA is wearing, recognise, complement it etc
Discussing new releases, dislikes & favorites, how other brands compare to AP
Talk more about the characteristics of watches, dial config of new movements or new colours for example instead of their valuation.
Good luck!
