Had it in hand and its a fabulous watch. I am having a hard time not buying one at the moment , every single day I hear it calling me and I never cared for the brand before.

Bang for buck, very hard to beat. gorgeous dial. dammit why did i log on to TRF!

It felt nice but did not try it on due to being short of time. I am in love with the dial in no uncertain terms.

Great looking watch. My AD is suppose to have one in this coming week. If it works for me in person I will buy it. I really like the dial.

My AD has just informed me that they have one in to see. I have a hectic work week ahead but am going to try to make it over to see. Looking forward to checking it out!

Anyone knows what’s a reasonable discount to expect from ADs?

The days of knocking 25% off Breitling are most likely gone or dead. Reasonably 15% is probably quite achievable — buy out of state and you can save on the sales tax too.

Thank you! My AD offered 10% but I think I can get 15% and hopefully they would agree to 20%

There was a time every watch dropped in value, also Rolex. Just like anything else that you buy and use.

But it was something that gave you pleasure and enjoyment.
And yes, that was worth the cost.

Today that is no longer true. The pleasure has to come for free.
Depreciation = Undesirable. The market has no desire for references that lose value and will not pursue them with any vigor. The majority of buyers DEMAND this and will only buy if their money is "safe". Whether that is sad or smart is relative to the individual.

That being said, so long as Breitling doesn't crank these out and they don't get dumped on the grey market, then they might not be discounted at all...they are the nicest piece Breitling has produced in years...they need this to be right to keep up in the brand wars..regardless of how much that angers the WIS.

It's a nice looking watch. Tried this one and the green dial version on at an AD.

Before I 'really' got into watches and into the state of the market, I bought a Breitling watch from an AD with a little discount (I think roughly 10%, can't remember). Couple of years later once I got deeper into watches, it hit me about the drop in value that occurred compared to buying the same watch second hand. As mentioned above, its a nasty side taste and I must admit myself I stay away from Breitling for this reason, do I really like wearing my Superocean from time to time, its a tank, looks good and is very durable.
