15200 VERY fast

I have a 15300 I havent worn in a while and when I put it on the other day I noticed it was running fast. I started to time how fast and its running 15 sec/min fast. I thought it might be magnetized (which it was) but its still running the same even after being demagnetized.

Any suggestions short of sending into AP or a repair guy?

Sounds way to fast if it's 15 second per minute. Maybe a slow motion video of the balance wheel? See if it's caught?

AP always adjust their watches to the fast side, you can have it reajusted to run slower without the full servicing, they just need to open the caseback and play with the weights...any watchmaker at AP Houses or AP Boutiques can do that.

Hope it helps!

My 15400 have been running about 10-12 seconds fast a day since I got it in 2016. As have other watches in rotation it hasn't been an issue, especially as it's consistent... My diver runs very close to +-0. My offshore chrono is a few seconds slow.

Suggest a vacation trip to Clearwater service agency.

Something similar happened to my 15300 few years ago. The watch was running very fast but it was changeable and oscillating. Once at APSC they had to change the balance wheel.
