Ok, so I'm not going to call it a Paul Newman dial because I'm not convinced that was the intention from Rolex. Sure it has a similar color scheme as a 6264 gold daytona but just because it's similar doesn't mean we should call it a Paul Newman dial. IDK... someone more educated on this topic feel free to change my mind </rant over>
Moving on, I've been seriously considering adding this watch. It will be my first PM watch and my first Daytona. I love the stark contrasting colors and the splash of red. I get Porsche vibes from it. My only hesitation is to wait for this dial/ceramic bezel combo on a bracelet (which might never happen)... but then again it does look great on oysterflex. Thoughts on this configuration?

Not sure they will ever put a ceramic bezel on a full gold model. If I could afford it, this would be the first PM piece I’d go for by a landslide! It’s probably the best looking oysterflex Daytona model

Love it but it doesn't look like that in real life

Don't wait for the bracelet. May or may not ever happen and you'll just be continuing to wait. Buy the watch!

The dial is a matte black. In the render I posted it appears more like a lacquer... Other than that I'm not sure.

Saw it in person and, sadly, have to say that in my opinion the matte dial clashes with the shiny ceramic bezel. I would recommend the champagne dial with black subdials instead. Others may have a totally different opinion and that's certainly ok.

But it matches with the charcoal grey tones of the OF ;)

It’s an insane watch. I had it for 7 months and it was just too much bling for me. Realized I’m better off sticking to SS.

If you can get it at MSRP, you can’t go wrong. Probably my favorite OF Daytona, or just behind WG 116519 with steel dial ... of course, that’s before seeing how the meteorite dials look on the WG and RG OF Daytonas in the metal.

Best daily PM watch to have if you wouldn’t mind the oysterflex. Had it before and absolutely love it. Only reason I sold it is because I can’t do without a bracelet. Now looking forward to purchasing the 116508/126508 with either the diamond or this same dial.

I know many love the red on this. I think it clashes and looks horrible. Otherwise a good watch in my opinion.
