Explorer has stopped running

I purchased a new Rolex Explorer (ref #214270) in January 2016 and it has stopped running. If I shake it, it will run for a few seconds and then stop. My plan is to take it to my AD for repair, but I wonder if any of you might have an opinion as to what the problem might be. Thanks.

Could be anything from a loose screw to a broken mainspring.

Thank you. Would you recommend I take it to the AD or send it directly to Rolex repair? This is the first time I've ever done this so pardon my naivety please.

Personally I'd directly send it to RSC.
