New incoming this week - Explorer 214270 mk1

Recently I was lucky to grab the Exp 39mm at the very last moment (probably) and paying an acceptable price. Can't imagine being more happy with such classic time piece.

Is here anyone else who prefers this disconnected one over the new 36mm Explorer?

Congratulations - lovely watch. The Mk1 prices still aren’t too bad at the moment but the Mk2 prices seem to be really climbing.

Congrats on owning a great watch! I bought one a week ago so it’s been on my wrist a week and I look forward to wearing it every day. I’ve worn Subs for over a decade and can tell you that I love this watch as much if not more!

Congrats. The Exp 39 is fantastic. I much prefer it over the 36 versions.

Mk2 on fire now that it’s discontinued and shorter run than mk1.

Yes, it’s not just the shorter run time wise but also a year of that run was during Covid where there will have been very little production.

Congratulations. I like the 36 mm and the 39 mm. I was hoping for a true 41 mm but there is always the future.

I casually mentioned to my wife, who is oblivious to my watches, that my MKII had probably almost doubled in value over the last few months. It backfired...she was still shocked and thought I was insane to have spent $6000 on a watch. I better go hide some others.

Congratulations!
On the second picture, the 3, 6, and 9 in white gold really stands out and really gives another dimension to this watch, love it.

Beautiful watch. Personally, being slight of wrist, I prefer the 36mm version. That said, really wish Rolex would have continued offering the 39mm version for those who prefer the larger size. Looks great in either incarnation.

The Explorer was my first and my favorite. I think the 39mm hits the sweet spot.
Congratulations Marek!

Bob's Watches is asking as much for a 214270 mk2 as they are for a 114060. In some instances more. Kind of nuts.

My breakthrough was when my collection value was 2X the value of my vehicle!

I'd be curious if an AD would put on mk2 hands on that?
