Some vintage Rolex paraphernalia

Sorry if there's another thread on this, I couldn't find anything active. I just picked up these two stands. What's hidden away or on display at your home?

Patina ... literally.

The darker one has a really wide coronet. I wonder if that dates it.

Those are very cool Dan. It's the "unbreakable glass" that got me…

Nice find on the stands.

I collect Vintage Rolex knick knacks too; like old leather items (notebooks), the anchors, spoons and especially Rolex boxes (though to some boxes may not qualify as paraphernalia).

Here is a Bufkor box from the early 1980s. It is my understanding the Bufkor box was sold exclusively only in the USA.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Thank you.

The Bufkor is very distinct from the parallel era wood box.

Very cool, Dan. Stuff like this is very appealing to me and I sometimes think of picking some up, and then I think, "But what would I do with it?"

Do you use them to display stuff or are they just interesting artifacts?

They were part of a larger deal with another collector, but the rest of it wasn't Rolex-related.

So far they are just interesting artifacts. I find them decorative and honestly they don't take up much space.

I guess it's my minimalist streak. I could grab my stuff and be out in 10 seconds if the house was on fire. The wife's stuff would be more like 10 days.

Just for your own information, uhren917, that is the exact cardboard box and watch box that came with my Oyster Perpetual Date R150533. The watch was manufactured in March 1987.

So at least you now have one confirmed year of usage.
