Help with my GMT Bezel Ring
I recently purchased a gold Bezel Ring for my 16710, but it came with the crystal retaining ring inside. See the attached pics. What is the easiest way to remove it so I can turn my watch into a two tone?

Just curious to know if you ever got your question answered. I am interested in replacing the bezel insert on my 16710 and will therefore be performing a similar operation. I'm guessing you just (very carefully) pried the retaining ring off? (But definitely don't take my advice as I have not done it yet...)

It's a snap on fit between the bezel and the crystal retaining ring.
Just prise it off with something like a knife blade. (If possible, best use something softer than the material you're working on - I use brass tools.) |

Would you mind posting a photo when you've made the swap? I'm curious to see the result!

Fwiw, this is why ceramic bezels have a delrin retaining ring that breaks during removal so the crystal retaining ring doesn't pop off when the bezel is removed. It's also the reason why the new crystal retaining rings are made of titanium so they don't stretch.
