A bit of a dilemna

Hello everyone, in the process of purchasing a new AP.

Either the Survivor or ROO REF. #26405CE.OO.A002CA.01

IMG_1977.jpgIMG_1977.jpg

IMG_1989.jpg

Prices quoted are as follows:

Survivor: 28,793 USD
ROO 44: 29,447 USD

What do you think is the better deal? And which speaks more to you? The survivor is such a rare watch but it's also a late model so I'm not very sure.

I own a ROO Elephant and Rolex Daytona

Any other input would be appreciated.

I prefer the ROO 44. The other watch with the pusher guards does not work for me and in the long run would cause me to move the watch.

Is the Survivor that 'loud' that you wouldn't consider it? It looks good on my hand too. I'm 6'4

The Survivor is a really cool watch. But make sure you are ok with the PVD coating. It does shows wear and tear over time and gets chip off.

How much are the retailing the ceramic for? Did they drop it to match the new one?

Where were all you buyers when I said I wanted to sell my 1 month old 44 CE? lol

CE for me, love the anthracite dial. The Beetle pushers are a bit too much for me.

CE is definitely a better deal. it's will also be much easier to flip later if you want to. just keep in mind, CE 01 mrsp is $41,800, AP dropped the price on new CE piece in SIHH 2017 to msrp $32,100. so even though, CE 01 looks like a bigger discount, but you have to reference the msrp for 02 as well. between those 2, I will still vote for CE. no contest.

Amazing advise I still am considering both as the survivor is still in my head. But practically says otherwise.

Sorry didn't understand. New what? I honestly am not sure of the retail price as the price given was after discount.

Ah.. You were pretty adamant that the prices on the 26405CE are not dropping and not affected by the price of the new ceramic when you were trying to sell me yours? Change of mind?

Buddy, you are correct. Please look at the post I was referencing. It wasn't one of your posts.

Back to your topic, go with the ceramic 44. I just got one and it's a great piece. Good luck on your decision.

Oh my bad.. I think now it's between the 44 above and the forged carbon one. Still making up my mind.

Yes, it's $32,100 for the new all black CE. I heard there will be total of only 100 produced this year. Most of the smaller ADs are not expecting to get any. I personally like the new version better.

There are plenty of pics already, here is another one

Prefer the 44 ceramic. The Survivor never did much for me...I think mainly due to the covers over the pushers.

This is the new ROO 44? That's a beauty. Don't know if I should just wait for it and end this dilemma.
