Oyster Bracelet Adjustment Advice

First of all wishing an Happy New Year to Everyone

I am seeking a little expert advice I have a Submariner 16613 TT and the bracelet as become a little tight when i get warm as such I have added an original link back (my initial set was a perfect balance but had no room to move the pin out in warm atmospheres)

The bracelet now is imbalance as per the photos attached and I cannot see an ideal balance option whilst I now can adjust for warm and cold atmospheres on the pin it does annoy me that I cannot achieve a central balance of the clasp additionally

I find the tightest pin right on the border when warm yet if I loosen I find the watch is too loose

As such I am trying to find a compromise of maybe half a link and would appreciate the thoughts of anyone who has been there with this issue i just seem to be between tight and loose

If I swop links side to side I think it will move the clasp mouth so to speak too usual on the 12 o'clock side

Pictures show the watch sat awkwardly and clasp off set causing this

On a final note one photo is upside down please forgive me but i am not sure how to rotate this

Any advice is appreciated Alan

You have too many links on the 6 o'clock side compared to the 12 o' clock side. It should be the other way around to center the clasp underneath your wrist and the watch head on the top of your wrist.

I think you'll find it more comfortable with the 6 o'clock side being shorter. I would switch one link from one side to the other and see how it feels

I think the moving of the link advice is spot on.
It is easy to do or go to the dealer for help

I'd remove on link from 6 o'clock and move the pin back to the second position from the outside. If you need more on the 12 o'clock side, you can also move the half link over.

Ideally in the first 2 pics you want the clasp to be just about parallel with the watch head. I have the same watch with the 12 full links that came with it when new. (no half links in a T serial 1996). I have 5 on the 6 o'clock side and 7 on the 12 o'clock side. Then, adjust the spring bar in the buckle to the desired fit.

Bracelet Corrected

Thanks for all you advice guys mine is 2008/9

I have adjusted the 6 o,clock to 4 links and 12 o'clock to 6 links showing, this has now balanced the clasp

I know I am asking for blood but is there anyway off achieving half an adjustment pin I am exactly half way between pins meaning one way its too slack in cold temps and the other way too tight in warmer temps

The Daytona is spot on for this is there any solution on the Sub?

Try wearing your watch in the correct place on your wrist slightly above the wrist bone, a snug fit so as you can just get tip of pinky finger under the clasp

I usually size mine by starting with the clasp let all the way out, removing links as necessary to get it close but a bit loose, and then fine-tuning the tightness at the clasp. I agree that if you can't get it perfectly centered it's far more comfortable to have the clasp toward the 6 side, and it also makes any actual imbalance pretty much invisible on the wrist. The Easy-link was really a fantastic feature on most of the new models.

Remove the bracket and Switch the 12 o clock and 6 o clock around and that should work

The 6 o'clock side should always be the shorter side..

I have the same problem that Alan did. Do you have a reference showing how to moved a link without messing up the watch?

I switched the a link to the 6 o'clock side and that helped a lot. But, it still wants to rotate toward my little finger. I tried removing a link and adjusting the clasp to its outermost position, but that was too tight. Any suggestions?
