Hulk is great in a large collection as I would be hesitant to wear the green all the time. DSSD Blue took a while to grow accustomed to it's heft, but now it feels right. But you really got to try it on...

I nearly bought a DSSD. Went to the AD with the plan to pick one up however once on the wrist I changed my mind and decided to have a re-think. I never did buy one. It just didn't feel right to me, which is a shame because I love the look of them, especially the Deep Blue! I would STRONGLY recommend trying this on before deciding. Personally I would look at the SD4000 over the DSSD.
My choice of all of them however would be the Hulk!! |

I have the dissenting opinion, I tried on the Hulk and just couldn't love the green. I do love the sunburst blue dial on the Blusey but the Hulk just doesn't donit for me. The DSSD is also too tall for my taste, the SD4000 was better but the cantrast of the satin dial and glossy ceramic just didn't jive for me. In the end I fell in love with the BLNR and the ND SubC. They compliment eachother perfectly. I love the hints of blue on the GMT and the slimmer caseback makes it sit vey low which I prefer. The ND Sub is also thinner than the date subs and is the most comfortable modern diver's watch I've ever worn. I also love the history and balance of the no date, it's the true timeless classic.

They are all really nice. For me, I wouldn't buy one of these without seeing them. I need to see it and have the heart skip a beat or two..
As Chadri stated, you need to see and try them on. It's the only sure fire way to see what feels best but also what sings to you best. In person, these watches are different. Some Rolex's that I never really cared for I liked after I saw them in person. Good luck whatever you do. The chase is part of the fun! |

I probably have a 6.5" wrist (never really measured) and just bought a DSSD. I think it looks fine, height is not a problem as I'm wearing a size small slim-fit H&M dress shirt and the watch fits under the sleeve cuff just fine. The size of the DSSD is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned.

Hulk gets my vote. It's unique, it's green... and well... it's green and that's just cool!
Don't buy a DSSD without trying it on MULTIPLE times. It's big and thick and a little top heavy. The first time I tried it on I thought it was cool. Every time since then I remind myself why I never bought it... just too thick for me. Can't go wrong with a ND Sub. You will get no complaints from most people on this forum about that! It's simple and classic. One of the best! Enjoy the hunt!

I love all three. Unfortunately, there can only be one.
For me, I prefer a date, so the ND would be out. That leaves the LVc and the DS. I have owned the Lvc and foolishly flipped it...twice. I don't know if that speaks to something about the watch I don't like or a personality flaw, take your pic. Never owned the Deepsea, but came close once and have lusted after it ever since. I'm a huge fan of the D-Blue iteration...but since you asked about the straight DS, I would probably give the nudge to the Lvc. Now if you're talking D-Blue, different story.... |

To the original poster-I have wrists sized similar to yours. So, out of the three you mentioned, the DSSD would not be in the running. I do not like the look of pieces larger than 40mm on my wrist size, but that's just my personal preference. Anything beyond 40mm looks odd to me on my arm.
So that leaves the Hulk and 114060. I've owned the 114060 and would have it again, especially over the Hulk. I love the green look but it's not something I'd wear often because (again, my own opinion) it doesn't go with anything like the black Sub does. The SubC on my wrist was a perfect fit with 4.5 links on the 6 side and 5 links on the 12 side, FYI.

Dssd! trusted seller is the way to go but there are a few ads in the area that have them if you want one from there.

Im currently contemplating the DSSD or the BLNR.
Ive tried on the DSSD a couple of times and it is top heavy and pretty thick. Definitely not a daily wearer. However, I have the green sub and its definitely my favourite. People think it clashes and doesn't go with everything. it actually is very versatile. Out of your choices, go for the Hulk. |

The Hulk and ND Sub are nothing to sneeze at. But imho and as a proud owner of a DSSD for several years. I can say you'll never look back and wonder what if had you not gone with the DSSD.

I dunno, I see very few Rolexes (and Subs) in public. It wouldn't bother me anyway that someone has as fine taste that I do :) |
